NEW IN/OUTFIT: Spring Fuzzball

I'm so happy with my recent purchase from H&M: this super soft fuzzy cropped jumper. Yes, this jumper was on sale for only £5! After deliberating over whether to buy a size XS or S (which meant I tried on both a ridiculous number of times), I decided that an XS was too form fitting for my taste and I find that fuzzy jumpers that are too tight can unfortunately make you look bulky.

Jumper H&M (link HERE in pink) // Skirt Korea
I was planning on wearing it with a pair of black skinny jeans but unfortunately, none of my jeans fit at the moment (I'm blaming the Freshers' 15), so I settled for a plaid skirt instead, which actually turned out to be more spring-appropriate with the base colour being yellow.

Sorry for the lack of shoes and other accessories but this blog post wasn't actually planned. This post originally came from an instagram photo that I took, so please excuse the low quality iPhone photos.

I hope y'all are having a great Easter break (hopefully not as revision-filled as mine) and I don't know when my next blog post will be, but until then, feel free to follow me on other social platforms that I tend to keep more upadated.

NEW IN / OUTFIT: Let’s Rock & Roll, Babydoll

This outfit was from a while ago when the temperature was in the low 20s (Celsius, not Farenheit) – weirdly warm for the end of October, so I thought I better post it before the weather gets any colder in London and this outfit becomes completely irrelevant.
Normally, babydoll dresses aren’t that flattering on me and too girly for my taste, but this one was a winner with the cut back (which isn’t too low, so no worrying about bra straps showing) and being the perfect length, which is rare to find for my height. Oh, and did I mention I bought it in the sale for £5!
Dress Funk Rock // Denim jacket East End Thrift Store

I toughened it up with my now not-so-new black ankle boots (a replacement for my old ones from eBay that literally broke), black bag with studs and a denim jacket. To be honest, the jacket wasn’t 100% to my liking and I would have probably preferred a more cropped jacket but it was the best option I had.

Boots H&M
I’m sorry disappearing for over a month; I’ve had a load of crazy going on. I’m actually typing this up on the tube on the way to university because I have no time otherwise. I’ll try and make a separate blog post updating anyone who’s interested on my life (anybody? no? well I’ll make it anyway for my own satisfaction).
Until then, I hope y’all are doing well and not stressing too much over work/school/uni etc. If you ever need someone to talk to, hit me up on my tumblr or ask.fm.

NEW IN: Back To Muji

So I've been back to school for about a week and a half and let me tell you, it's been crazy hectic. So much university stuff to do before deadlines which is why I missed a blog post last week. I will try and queue some posts up this weekend but I'm super busy so we'll have to see.

Anyhow, this is my late back-to-school haul. I went to Muji the day before school started but I realised I needed a couple more things so I went back that weekend. This post probably won't be the most exciting recently I've gotten into shopping for pretty stationery. You might find a reoccurring theme of simple, clear and white:

B5 Spiral Bound Notebook £1.25 (buy online HERE)

I like to use these as planners for both homework and non-homework (e.g. extracurricular activities, meetings etc). I hate carrying around dead weight, my school bag's heavy enough as it is, so I prefer these over the planner they give to us at school since they're super light and small.

*I will be doing a DIY on these soon so look out for that post!

Glue Stick £0.95 (buy online HERE)

Just a small gluestick that's cheap (although I think it's still twice the price of it in Japan).

Acrylic Folding Ruler £2.50 (buy online HERE)

I needed a ruler that was long enough for when I draw graphs in Physics but still portable and this was so perfect. To be honest though, I thought this was only 99p but no regrets.

Earplugs £2.50 (buy online HERE)

Okay, I could have probably gotten these a lot cheaper elsewhere but they were by the till and look how pretty the case is. I find myself distracted a lot when I'm trying to study in anywhere but the library in school so I bought these so that I can block out any background noise. They don't completely block out sound but do a good enough job so that normal talk sounds muffled and doesn't distract me.

Steel Hole Punch £3.50 (buy online HERE)

I've wanted this for ages and finally decided to buy one - my current hole puncher is blunt and this was too perfect and looks great in my room. It also has one of those pull out template paper guides so you don't have to fold your paper in half to get the holes to center.

Scibble Pad £0.90 (buy online HERE)

A cheap and cheerful notepad to scribble down any memos or particularly great for when I'm doing maths homework and need to do any working out.

Office Set Large £5.50 (buy online HERE)

Okay, this was totally overpriced and unnecessary but I bought it only for the hole puncher in the set. I've been looking for one like that for ages: one that's smaller and lighter than a regular hole puncher but still punches two holes. I actually do like the rest of the set as well (as I said, I love anything clear), so it wasn't a total waste of money.

I love Muji products, the simple minimalism is completely up my alley but everything's so overpriced *cries*. Hopefully I'll be able to go to Japan one day and get more things from Muji for way cheaper.

NEW IN: Accessories from Casio, Newlook, Topshop

Another haul of this and that I've bought over the past two weeks.

Snooper's Paradise (Brighton) £9.99 (American Apparel link HERE)
I've wanted this watch for a really long time, but the average price I've found is roughly £40 (depending where you shop). So, when I found this in a vintage/antique/junk shop in Brighton for less than £10, I picked it up without a second thought.

*For anyone visiting Brighton, I would definitely recommend Snooper's Paradise (more info HERE) if you're into second hand items. It's definitely somewhere you could probably spend hours in since it's pretty big, selling anything from vintage badges, second hand clothes, antique furniture to comics and records (i.e. everything and anything) so it's great to just have a rummage through to see if you can find any gems.

New Look (L-R) £3 £1.50 // £4 £2
Jenn (from clothesencounters) has totally inspired me to wear more geometric jewellery. But I hadn't found any that weren't too crazy and being petite short/small, I hadn't been able to find any earrings that don't look ridiculously oversized, until I came across these in the Newlook sale, making me very, very happy :-).

Topshop £3.50 each/3 for £8 £2 / £1 / £1  *
These were originally on sale for £2 each but two pairs were actually only £1 when I took them to the till (score!). The photo doesn't pick this up, but the pair on the far right actually has silver threading throughout making them look all glittery, and if you know me, you know I love me some glitter. Overall a complete bargain for Topshop socks.

Topshop £7.50 £3.75  *
Yin yangs are probably one of my favourite symbols and this happened to catch my eye as I was walking up to the till. It's a shorter chain necklace that sits roughly on the neckline of most tops. For any of you with a significant other, this is perfect since it splits in half into 2 necklaces - like one of those childhood 'best friend' necklaces. But for those who are single pringle (e.g. me) then either split it with your best girlfriend or I actually prefer to wear them both together and have already received a couple of compliments.

I've been trying not to spend too much, with so much money going into the new house and all, but things just seem to keep on building up. That's part of the reason I'm returning my Juju Jellies (as some of you may have seem on my instagram). The other reason being that I just find the sandals too loose around my ankles, despite buckling them to the last hole. At least I didn't pay full price for any of these purchases.

NEW IN: AA London Outlet

I'm sorry I've been away. I will have an update post at some point to explain but for now, here's a haul of things I bought in the American Apparel Outlet Store.

There is an AA outlet currently in East London (link to the facebook event HERE), so my friend's and I decided to hit it up. To be honest, most of the things were still pretty pricey (ranging from H&M to Topshop prices) but there were one or two things worth picking up:

American Apparel (London Outlet) California Fleece Tulip Skirt £27 £6 each (link HERE)
*sorry for the creasing
These skirts have a fleece lining so, although inappropriate for the current weather, I thought they'd be nice and warm for the colder months. They're elasticated with pockets and are really comfortable to wear, easy to pair with a lot of things and will probably end up being a wardrobe essential during the winter.

American Apparel (London Outlet) Neon Orange £9 £3.50 (link HERE)
Recently, I've been lusting after a neon yellow nail polish but they don't seem to sell any in Boots or Superdrug and obviously, I was not going to pay £9 at American Apparel. But I happened to spot this neon orange one at the outlet which was significantly reduced from the original price and so I'm having to make do with an orange instead of a yellow.

It needs at least 2 coats but gives you a true neon colour when you put it on. Also, for anyone wanting to tan in the sun, this colour definitely makes you seem more tanned (bummer for me but yay for the majority of you).

I should have another haul post coming up and hopefully will get back into blogging. But bye for now, and hope you're all enjoying your summer holidays :-)

NEW IN: H&M Sunglasses

Every year at the end of January/beginning of February, H&M have a sale on all their sunglasses and reduce them down to £1! So of course, I got a couple of pairs:

I'm thinking of possibly painting the heart sunglasses with red nail polish: reminds me of my childhood in the 90s. They were only £1 so even if i mess up, no biggie right? The weather at the moment isn't really sunglass appropriate (snowing right now as we speak I type) but I can't wait for summer!!

NEW IN: UO January Sale

Argh, it took me so long to get my hands on this camo jacket because of delivery issues but long story short: always check that your address is put down right.
Oh and also, UO are a lot more helpful if you call them up rather than emailing them if you have any problems.

Anyhow, on with the haul:
Everything came packaged nicely as always. For some reason I really like the UO tissue paper.

Camo Jacket (link here) £45 £20 [S/M]
I've been wanting a camo jacket for the longest time but I've been putting off splurging on one, convincing myself it's just a passing trend (which it probably is but whatever). But this one was on sale!  It fits a bit oversized so I have to roll up the sleeves a bit but the quality is really good. It is from their 'Vintage Surplus' line so it does smell a bit like a charity shop when you first get it but nothing that won't come out in the wash.

Holographic Panel High Tops (link here) £38 £10 [UK3]
If you've read my post on the holographic trend, you'd know I'm in love with anything remotely holographic (PS, the holographic trend is apparently here to stay through SS13 !!). The high tops are by BDG and they're the perfect combination of holographic and suede so that it doesn't seem overly flashy. They're true to size and the quality is also great so the shoes are nicely padded on the tongue and around the ankles.

Holographic Phone Clutch (link here) £16 £5
I saw this in stores and it was so pretty so you can guess I was pretty ecstatic to see that it was on sale. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit my phone (Samsung Galaxy II) nor does it fit the Samsung Galaxy I or Samsung Note. I can just about fit in my Ipod Classic 120GB but it seems a bit pointless without my earphones. So I'm not really sure what to put in it but it is just too pretty to return.

The UO sale is pretty amazing and I am very tempted to order online again but paying for shipping is not fun. My dad said he might order something from UO so I might try and scrape in on that if he does but otherwise I am very content with my purchases :-).

The East End Thrift Store

I met up with my lovely friend Maymana who I don't really get to see that often anymore (since she moved up to stupid Kent) and Carrie, and we went shopping. We popped into a charity shop en route to the Thrift Store and they had the biggest cat I'd ever seen but it was so pretty (I was really tempted to steal it- just kidding)

Anyhow, The East End Thrift Store actually sells quite reasonably priced vintage clothes and there's a whole section with clothes under £5! I finally managed to find myself an oversized denim jacket which I bought as a birthday present as the one from Asos that I'd gotten for my birthday didn't fit well at all.

Here's a video I made of our day out:

*bump up to HD
Playsuit
First off this fits like a glove and it has pockets and studs so what's not to love?  It also has cute detailing with a tie at the back which shows off a bit of skin without being inconvenient and showing any bra straps. It turns out it's from Miley Cyrus' brand which makes it all the better since I love her style. The playsuit is made of a thinner material so I'd have to layer over it for winter but it's perfect for summer.

Slouchy Jumper
Coincidentally, I've been wanting a slouchy jumper recently to wear over my maxi skirt. This particular jumper is on the bigger side but I guess that just means it ticks the slouchy box. The colour is so pretty and I love the earthy vibe the colour and texture gives.

Oversized Denim Jacket
I finally bought one! This jacket is the perfect colour and although the sleeves are a little on the long size, I can just roll them up as I have done in the photo above. Unfortunately it doesn't have any pockets but I can always use the pockets of my hoodie that I'll layer under this baby.

*Oh and I hope you all have a lovely new year :)

NEW IN: Pleated Chiffon Shorts

I've been wanting a black pleated chiffon skirt for the longest time and this is the closest I've got to it so far:

The shorts look just like a skirt when you're wearing them and they are so fricking comfortable. They're by the brand 'Mizumi' and the best part is they were only £9.99 at full price.

My mum got them for me from TKMaxx and they're still available on their website here.
